Golden Wok has been a staple of Brookfield/LaGrange for years. Due to COVID and my husbands and my desire to support local establishments, we decided to try Golden Wok again. Their portions are huge. Their food is very tasty. We ordered Beef egg foo yong, eggrolls and I ordered a side of chow fun noodles. Their prices are absolutely fair, delivery was lightning fast and the food came hot. Yum decided to give Golden Wok another chance for our New Year's Eve family dinner, and I'm glad we did. The takeout order was spot on, and the Mongolian beef with crispy chow fun noodles was exceptional. The veggie egg foo young was packed with fresh vegetables and was very flavorful. The Singapore noodles with shrimp came with plenty of large, fresh shrimp and the perfect amount of wok char. The whole family was thrilled with the meal. While we’ve had some average takeout from here in the past, last night's dinner was fantastic.
Very disappointed they would not honor my Entertainment coupon. I understand times/businesses are struggling now but then don't offer the coupon and not honor it. I WAS a regular customer to this restaurant but after today I'm done. When I called to complain the manager would not even talk to me. He told the woman answering the phone to just tell me we don't honor those coupons anymore. When I explained she would be losing a good loyal customer she didn't seem to care and simply sorry you feel that way.
We just ordered from here and are extremely disappointed. First, you try to call them to order and the call gets dropped. We tried multiple times so we just decided to grubhub it. When the order arrived it was wrong and didn't receive everything we paid for. We were given a refund for the item we didnt receive. We ordered General Tsos chicken and it was HORRIBLE. Bland taste and the chicken was in ball form and didnt even look like chicken. We will not be ordering from here again.

I was taken aback by some of the negative reviews I came across. I lived nearby for a couple of years and frequently ordered delivery from Golden Wok. Our food was consistently good, and I never experienced any issues with the service. I mostly ordered standard American Chinese dishes like egg rolls, fried rice, and beef with broccoli. I can honestly say I never had a bad meal. The prices are fairly standard as well.
I have been searching for a new Chinese spot because I am semi new to the area. This was my first time visiting Golden Wok and it was one of the closest places by my house. Customer service was great but the food was bland... This ain't it for me!
Too many carry out orders with hair in my food. I almost threw up this last time pulling the hair out of my mouth. The breaded chicken pieces in their Sesame and General 's chicken dishes are mostly breading, very little meat.
This has been a family favorite for 4 generations! The egg rolls, egg drop soup, and fried rice are the best. We look forward to the Chinese New Years specials every year. The lunch and dinner specials are a steal.

We ended up throwing the food straight into the garbage. After just one bite, we both agreed it wasn't worth having another. We tossed the entire order away. I wouldn't even give it a star.
Used to be great place to eat but they must've cheapened there food aka not enough beef/shrimp/pork etc!!!!
