One of the best Diner experiences I've ever had. Located right under a LIRR station (Rockville Centre); most of the tables were filled with customers and families on a late Friday at a time of night when I'm sure they had a few other options available nearby but they chose this place and everyone looked happy and like they'd been there many times prior...always a sign that this gonna be a nice experience as a first-timer. The decor is lovely, the staff is ridiculously friendly. I think their secret weapon is that they have a Gelato bar. And it is AMAZING. But the actual food is pretty great too at least what I had and my companions were very satisfied as well. I don't close to this place at...
EXTREMELY RUDE OWNER AND STAFF. They charged me a dollar for each small square of cream cheese, even for the ones I did not use. The waitress did not say this would be extra and when I tried getting it taken off the bill the owner and waitress ganged up on me to argue about it ultimately not willing to take it off the bill. I usually come in once a week but now they lost a customer forever over cream cheese. They clearly do not care about the people who keep their business open.
Went to golden reef for breakfast. Was not disappointed. Food was very good. Generous portions of home fries to go with ham and eggs and also the omelet. Very welcoming and appear to have a regular following of customers. Parking is my issue. It is limited in front of diner and does not seem to have handicapped. There is a good ramp to enter diner. Inside diner is good for handicapped. Second visit for bf was good so I consider it consistent. I will return and do recommend it.
Was nicely seated at restaurant giving some nice bread and then completely forgotten. Sat over 15 minutes till I grab somebody and say hey I'm here. Love my lemonade this was absolutely horrible I don't know where it came from Took the waitress forever to refill Even though I asked twice. Goulash was Bland almost cafeteria style.

I have to say the food was very good. The place was clean, but the older woman at the front Dess was one of the rudest people overheard her talking to one of the service. The girl was very sweet and was trying to be very nice and the woman was just being so nasty to her, I felt so bad for the girl.
First time here. Service was great waitress was funny, we had burgers and mozz sticks all tasted great and cooked to order. Very pleased will return again
A perfect diner. Fantastic corned beef hash and poached eggs and silver dollar pancakes. Will be back!
Good basic diner. Like putting on an old, comfortable shoe: everything IA just right.
