I've been here a couple of times now and I always end up disappointed. First off, it took up nearly my entire lunch break just for the food to arrive both times.The chicken tenders had a weird flavor like the oil has never been changed, and they still had skin on them, which was weird but you can just peel that off I suppose. And nothing was seasoned at all, not the potatoes, nor the gravy, nor the breading on the chicken. It had just been dipped in flour.My next visit, I tried the chili cheeseburger with fries and onion rings. Well the patty was half burnt and crunchy in several places, the fries were underdone and tasted fishy, and the onion rings had no batter on them. I'm never going to...
We got the Tuesday 1.99, 2 piece special which is a great deal however one piece smelled and tasted very fishy and the gravy had weird consistency and no flavor. The staff was friendly but the quality of certain items were low low. The biggest problem I have with this place is the inconsistencies in the quality of the food..It is WONDERFUL sometimes and nearly unedible at other times.I am a proud supporter of family owned, local and small businesses. I really want to see this place make it, not just make it.. but prosper! Perhaps my wife and I could come in as consultants for a day or so and help remedy these issues. contact if interested, seriously!
The hamburger was undercooked in the middle, and the chicken, along with the okra and fries, tasted artificial. However, the service was excellent. I was really disappointed. I had heard great things about this restaurant, and this was my first visit with a friend who had been there before—she was equally appalled. We both ended up feeling nauseous and were sick for days. We're still trying to recover from the experience. I will NEVER return.
We ordered the chicken and waffles, but the waffle didn’t resemble what was shown on the menu and didn’t taste like a waffle at all. We also tried the spicy chicken sandwich, but after just one bite, we couldn't eat any more because it simply didn’t taste good. The same went for the burger we ordered.
We hope that the quality of the food improves so they can regain people's trust, but for now, we won’t be coming back.

If You haven't tried White Box you really need to, they have excellent Southern Fried Chicken. Forget Popeyes, Golden and KFC, White Box smokes them all. Mike (owner)is one really friendly guy and will work his butt off to make you happy. Don't forget about the Texas size burgers coming off a seasoned grill, makes my mouth water!
Absolutely amazing food and customer service! This place is a complete GEM ? The food was excellent and the onion rings were hot and fresh. The woman working brought us a whole extra batch of onion rings because she wasn't completely satisfied with the first batch, even though they were amazing. Good food good people
So plain. That chicken they could have kept. On top of that it was a Tuesday they charged me 15 bucks for 8 pieces of chicken (bland) when they could have suggested the special
The restaurant appears to be closed, and it seems like it's been that way for some time. I'm sorry we couldn't experience it. I hope it was a great place.

Traveling from out of town... ordered some livers and gizzard with gravy on the side...It was delicious... seasoned good, crispy, and fresh.
The food of heaven.... the whole menu....nuff said!
