Two of us dined here recently and decided on the 9 course degustation or as we later referred to it deverstation!I guess I may have been spoilt by previously having fabulous degustation meals at such restaurants as The French Cafe (Auckland), Merediths (Auckland) and Blanco (Bali) to name a few.On the positive side. the restaurant was lovely, ambient lighting, with our window seat came a view and excellent service with very knowledgable staff. We opted for the wine match which we thoroughly enjoyed. But the food, all dishes were presented beautifully but for me taste far out weighs presentation. Of the nine courses only 3 were delicious, a couple ok, and the balance very dissapointing.Fish a...

Which has made me stop and think .. Bacchus, Sky on 57 were worse...The chairs are not good. The matched wines were a rip. Show case of QLD wines (run now). Sorry my combined South African and South Australian ancestry says "NO! Qld wines are poo". The only drinkable wine was the shampers Pats. The champagne was the only wine I would drink again. We came here because this place keeps getting on the best restaurants in Australia lists. Not sure why. The fish and chips was good. (Too) Small but good. I liked the coral reef but Husband was perturbed. I sort of felt they we trying to be a bit too Heston though. I liked the cauliflower dish. The eel was great. I can eat eel until the cows come ho...

We had the 9 course tasting menu with matched wines (over nearly 4 hours) and we all thought the food was lovely (although we did like some things more than others). We enjoyed trying the Qld wines - the Granite Belt has a lot to offer - and it was good to try wines that had been "matched" to the food rather than picking a couple of bottles that would "go" sort of of. Mutton was a highlight as was the signature wattleseed custard dessert. Service from Danielle and the team was knowledgable and added to our dining experience. We will probably try to make this is a half-yearly event.

The first two courses were some sort of fish. Two courses of fish does not bode well for a 5 course meal in my eyes. Lack of creativity and too many of the same flavours. I was proved right unfortunately. 3 Out of the 5 courses my favourite meal was the broccoli. That should not be the case. The 4th course was mutton and it was bad! I cannot honestly say a good word about it. Mutton tastes like shoes. Ash is not pleasant to eat just FYI. The dessert was too much work! My whole table of 10 left hungry!!! The only reason you even get two stars is for the wine. Reserva una mesa ahora

We went to the new Marvel exhibition and had a wonderful lunch here afterwards for my son's birthday. The dishes all tasted great and were visually very appealing. The service was good, a slight lack of experience if anything. We didn't get the wines to match because we didn't want to drink that much, but all had a couple of wines/beers which was just right. I don't understand why this place is not a lot higher in the TripAdvisor rankings, we all loved it! Trust me, 5 courses is definitely enough, especially for lunch. We'll definitely be back!

I was at GOMA seeing some amazing free art movies and went to the cafe at GOMA which faces the river outside. I was taken back by the quality of the meals and the reasonable prices. The ambience was great overlooking the Brisbane River amongst the pleasing concrete architecture. The meals are not large - medium sized but tasty interesting menu with delicious salads, pork belly and nachos etc for around $10. The coffee was perfect. The staff were courteous, prompt and personable - was a great day!

Decided to have a great lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were not disappointed. Going all in for the nine course with matching wines. Two of our group of four didn't want sea food and the chief was very accommodating.Every dish is honestly a work of art. To some degree you do not need to know what you are eating. I had eel and emu, both of which I would never choose, but the flavours were fantastic. Wines were also great, a true safari of wine.

Had an excellent lunch chosen from the a la carte menu. The presentation was artistic and the food absolutely delicious and inventive with the use of "bush" herbs and decoration. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. The wait service was efficient, thoughtful and expert. The room is attractive and comfortable. We will return as often as we can! Enjoyed lunch last Saturday with a large group sitting outside lapping up the warm weather. Food was delicious!!!!! Every dish was well presented. Had amazing Pecan Pie for dessert. Service was excellent. Staff are very friendly. Food was well priced. Thoroughly reccomend this restaurant for a meal.
