The gorditas are really great!! They taste just the way my abuela would make them. They also have a salsa bar with cabbage (repollo), salsa, onions con jalepenos, crema, and guacamole. I suggest to order the combo which consist of 2 gorditas with rice and beans. It is feeling. The customer services is great by referring to you if you want something spicy or not. The chicharron with salsa verde is spicy and full of flavor. The frijoles are really good. I suggest putting everything from the salsa bar onto your gorditas for the great taste. The Gorditas are made fresh and the fillings are delicious and expertly prepared. You have the option to order a plate of three with beans and rice or just a single one. On the day I visited, I was taking home about 20 Gorditas, and the cashier kindly informed me that it would be more economical to ring them up as plates rather than individually, as I had originally intended. When I got home, everyone enjoyed their meals and finished what they ordered, including the picky eaters! The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is excellent. I will definitely be returning!
Never coming back. Its $2.75 for any kind of gordita. Although the stuffing comes a little bit out of the opening, the gorditas are small and thin, therefore its not as much as it appears. There are only like 12 or 10 different kinds of stuffing. I had chicharron and chorizo. Both stuffings were very bland. The time of service took around 10 minutes to get these two gorditas when there was only one customer ahead of me. The lady up front was nice. Her friendly service was the only good thing this place had to offer, but I didn't come here for the warm welcome.
I stopped trying a gordita. it was a nice surprise! the place is very clean with beautiful ambiente. I ordered a combi with two gorditas, rice and drilling. I had whammy with chips and pork cracked in greener sauce. they were great, very tasty and fill. the tear was also very good, although the beans I like a little thicker. the attention was great and very friendly. a great place to have a quick bite! the place is under new management and changes the whole restaurant. eating is really good (good, who have tried.) I ate the gorditas de picadillo and the molecular on a combo. both are really good. reasonable prices in all menus. from gorditas to tacos to chiles rellenos! they even have raspados to choose with several aromes! (raspados are shaved ice with aromen of their choice.
The Gorditas were just average. They didn’t have everything they advertised on the menu. We arrived around 3 PM and found that they had run out of half the items. A proper gordita is supposed to come with cheese, but ours didn't. On a positive note, the quesadilla was really tasty. However, I was disappointed to find that they didn’t have any Agua Fresca available.
one of the best places to get guisados in san diego. here they can go, stuffed with these delicious stuff in tacos or gorditas or both. I feel sad that I see reports that this restaurant has closed (hopefully only temporarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic), because it is one of my favorite cheap Mexican restaurants.
