Grab-A-Java Coffeehouse & Roasterie

Grab-A-Java is truly a local success story. When Dave, the current owner, took it over many years ago, it tended to be a hang-out for young rebels. Dave is an ex-U.S. Marine and, in very short order, he turned it into one of Mission's favourite coffee spots. I frequently go past it just after 6 a.m. and, even in the winter, there are people sitting outside (and inside 0f course) enjoying their morning coffee. Dave has also built an operates his own coffee-roasting premises that is open to a public visit on roasting days. Located in a strip mall on 7th Ave very close to the Rec Centre. It used to have a covered patio at the entrance and I imagine the District of Mission came with some reasons for getting away with that great option. I have enjoyed their smoothies for years each summer. I unfortunately do not drink coffee ( I am sensitive to caffeine big time) but I know the promote fair coffee crops where the farmers benefit. My favourite smoothie is the 4 berries. Love it!

I went in here Feb19 ordered a gigantic latte which i was informed comes with 4 shots of espresso. It tasted really good would definitely recommend for anyone looking for coffee. I am normally a starbucks person when traveling but saw this on tripadvisor and had to give it a try.
