However, it became frustrating when those picking up their takeout orders were served before us, and we noticed that the host prioritized a friend who arrived after us. This friend was mistakenly given our order, only for the host to take it away, saying, "Oh, this is my friend?"

This restaurant is fantastic! I especially love the pumpkin vegetable curry. Being vegan, I appreciate finding a new spot that offers a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Perry and Eric are both friendly and fun, and their staff is wonderful. The restaurant itself is clean and colorful, decorated with vibrant photos that capture the beauty and liveliness of Thailand. It’s conveniently located right across from the stunning Lake Merritt. The mango sticky rice is exceptional, and their pumpkin orange Thai iced tea is delightful as well. Just a few blocks from the Grand Lake Theatre and the artisan shops on Lakeshore, this is an ideal place for a Friday night date.
The food was absolutely delicious. We were uncertain about whether to have Thai food or not while looking at the menu outside the restaurant, and then a gentleman came out and enthusiastically recommended it to us, insisting we should give it a try. Once we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed and received prompt, friendly service. The pan-fried garlic pepper dish was fantastic, the yellow curry was excellent, and the Pad Pak was just as tasty. I genuinely have no complaints and will certainly be returning!
The pumpkin curry at WOW is absolutely incredible! It features generous pieces of pumpkin and eggplant, along with other vegetables, all swimming in a rich and creamy sweet sauce—I've discovered my new favorite dish! I was also really happy with the large portions in my takeout order. I got the pumpkin curry and papaya salad, and both were delicious! The curry puffs appetizer here are fantastic as well.

Pary and her staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive. I've been visiting this restaurant for over three years, even during the pandemic when they were only serving takeout. Every time, I've been greeted with a smile and enjoyed excellent food. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I also recommend trying Dek Doi Thai Café on Piedmont Ave, which is co-owned by the same owner.
This is the first time I've ever finished an entire takeout box of food. It felt like it was prepared by a loving family. I ordered the pad see ew, and it was delicious. I will definitely be returning!
