Our family of 4 (my husband and I and his parents), wanted one traditional formal meal during our 8 day trip. As we were staying at the Grand Hotel for the night and it was a holiday, this seemed like the right spot. I was a bit skeptical because the hotel, while very nice and clean, was a bit tired compared with other places we had stayed. Unwarranted as the food, service, pace and ambiance were just lovely. The food was beautifully plated, great wines were chosen for us, and it was quite delicious! The escargot and terrines were wonderful, and the liver main course was incredible. Loved the desserts too! Overall, highly recommend.
we arrived very tired after a rough crossing to Roscoff and even though it was only just after midday our room was available immediately. And it certainly was a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the Abbey which was lit up at night. Dinner was not available in the hotel on Sunday nights so we had to forage elsewhere. The hotel was very pleasant, lovely staff, quiet rooms beautifully decorated. Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, fresh juices, chilled water, lovely bread and croissants , ham and cheese. Just very good. Car parking €10 a night very well worth it. Definitely would stay there again. Recommend it.
Staying at the Grand hotel de Solesmes was a really good experience. We were treated a royals by the very hospital people and felt very much welcomed. The hotel is not the most modern but the rooms are wide and clean and all facilities were available to have an agréable stay. We used the sauna and whirlpool for a relaxing hour. The restaurant is excellent! It is French style and the quality of the dishes served was excellent. Also the way we were served was excellent: these people have a passion for their guests!!
