Grand Lane Fish House

Was recommended by a family member who noticed the fish and chipmshop whilst visiting a well known toastie cafe! It's hard to find if you don't know Perth, down one of the side lanes in the city! Lovely and clean, very affable chap owns the place, gives you a full run down of fish types and potatoes the way they are cooked, etc...very informative and great welcome to this lovely quirky establishment. We had hake and chips, it's cooked fresh, batter lighter than uk, lovey, chips tasted like potato and the mushy peas excellent. Portions are good, not over facing. Not greasy at all. All in all a very lovely supper, fantastic job!

Tucked away in a little alley, was not noticeable although we have been passing the murray street mall so often the past week.We ordered the Atlantic cod and chips. The fish n chips went so well with delicious curry sauce. Coleslaw was just okay for me, would have like it a tad more creamy. My son love the mushy peas with an extra helping of curry sauce. Would definitely be back when in perth again. Paul, the owner is a friendly guy and always makes you feel welcome with his chatters.

We read the good reviews on Tripadvisor and decided to give this place a try. The fish & chips were amazing and we loved it. The owner was also really nice to explain the different types of fish they offer. We also ordered the pork sausage which was good as well. Remember to order the homemade tar tar sauce to go with your fish & chips. Definitely recommended!!

As an Brit living in Australia, one of the saddest things I've had to come to terms with is never finding a REAL Fish N Chip shop like the ones at home. This is hands down the best seafood serving restaurant around and it even puts the food at home to shame! 10/10 would recommend! Reserva una mesa ahora

Tucked away in a city lane way, lovely traditional homely fish and chips. Great friendly service and value for money. Calamari that melts in your mouth and the tastiest chips I've had!! Curry sauce amazing, joopie sauce out of this world!! Thanks guys we'll be back.

This is by far the best fish and chips I had in Perth city. Great value for money too! Tucked in a little lane this is a real lunch gem. The fish and chips were very tasty and crispy and the calamari rings were tender with a HUGE crunch. Will be back again !!

Fish is tasty, better than the ones in Fremantle. Asked the owner for recommendation and he gives detail of the fish origin. Home made tar tar sauce was awesome as well, unlike other places I've been to who serves them in sachet. + Very friendly owner

Perfect North Sea Cod, with exactly the right amount of chips, outstanding Mushy peas slow cooked, to by mushy whilst keeping the skins on. funny location, there was a "Heron Chic" photo shoot happening in the alley to add to the sense of occasion!!! Reserva una mesa ahora

Local fuera del recorrido típico turístico, es uno de esos locales con alma. Regentado por un inglés amable y simpático. Para comer pescado típico del Western Australia con patatas caseras y no ultracongeladas. Perfecta elección

Tucked away in a funky laneway, the Owners of this shop are alway friendly and welcoming. I have been a few times and the chips are perfectly cooked. I love some of the potato skin being left on. I will be back again.
