Grandview Palace Chinese Cuisine

This is one of the hidden gems in Pasadena. Love this place a lot. We came here often, but sadly we moved out of the area. This is classic American style Chinese food done right. The service is so great. We became fast friends with the workers there. You get seated fast and your food comes in fresh. Our all time favorite is the orange chicken with real pieces of orange, bbq fried rice, wor wonton soup, and the crispy rice chicken soup. This is proper American Chinese food! ie, nothing like how it's supposed to taste! Salt and pepper pork chops didn't have any pepper or spice to it at all. Seafood hotpot was more of a stir fry, and tasted identical to the vegetable chow mein. All the dishes were way too salty. Waiter was too busy sitting down and chatting with the only other patron in the restaurant to even bother checking in until 5-10 minutes after I was done eating.

So we live in the Pasadena area and thought we'd give this place a try since we are looking for a great chinese location and that could be a hit or miss, well this place did not disappoint! I thought it was delicious every dish the only regret I have is not ordering there Orange Chicken dish! I will definitely be back and looking forward to it.

This restaurant is a great option for fast and delicious Chinese cuisine that is delivered promptly. They stay open late, but the quality of the food can suffer if you order close to closing time. I tried the green beans and they were completely undercooked, with sauce just thrown on top. It was extremely disappointing.

This place is amazing! The staff are friendly and they serve delicious, customizable dishes at an affordable price. I highly recommend supporting this restaurant in Old Town, as they stand out above their competitors. They are truly legendary!
