A friend & I got dropped off at Salamanca Place by taxi after a big day of attending a conference at the Wrest Point Casino. We stumbled across this place on the way to our accommodation. I love a good mulled wine, these guys know how to make a heart warming one. The bar staff kindly accommodated a half serve for a friend who hadn't tried a mulled wine before as she doesn't usually enjoy a red wine....she quite liked it. It was so nice I went back for a second one. The only tip I would have is for staff at the bar to have some decent orange peel at the ready in the front bar so they don't have to go looking for oranges in the kitchen and then get the peel off the orange.......meanwhile my mu...
So the pub where we had planned to do dinner tonight proved to be quite disappointing and nothing like anticipated from reviews online, (highly over-rated in Battery Point), so we decided to look for somewhere else on the fly which can be difficult because I have food allergies. So after some fruitless searching online, (because we didn't want to go far), we decided to wander down to Salamanca Pl and take 'pot luck'. Hemos hecho un punto del grupo de turismo siempre que estemos en Hobart, y a lo largo de los años se han comprobado con una amplia selección de vinos y un personal de conocimientos conocedores. Aún ocupado, que siempre es una buena señal. El único inconveniente, aunque no hay daño a la visita, es la calidad de las comidas que ha deslizado la calidad, aunque hay una buena selección para elegir.

La pizza de cordero era la bomba. Las patatas fritas de cordón de zapatos con Aioli fueron Nombar. Los crucificadores de queso fueron groseros; Joy Oral!
Really enjoyed the vibe at this wine bar. Bar tenders fun. Mulled wine delicious and the food was great and reasonably priced. We reserved a bar table and our table was ready for us on arrival. Live music was good maybe a touch loud. Great night out
We had mulled wine and lamb ribs. The mulled wine was like cake in a glass it was so sweet and spicy and delicious but the lamb ribs were even better. I licked the plate and wasn't ashamed. Highly highly recommended.
I think Grape have either just recently decided to alter their name from Bar & Bottleshop to Food & Wine, or they tried a while ago and it didn't really

It's Salamanca. The atmosphere is always great and the heritage listed buildings just add to it
The tapas food is amazing.
Grape was an awesome place we just walked into randomly in downtown.
