With its raving reviews, we decided to try this BBQ joint after spending a Saturday in the area. The server directed us to a QR code to view the menu, but after that it was impossible to get her attention (we stood 10 feet from the bar where she was standing, and she wasn't busy, just dawdling) so we ordered to-go orders online on our phones.We ordered their brisket plate and a small plate.The brisket was generously portioned, thick, and tender but had no flavor. Ribs came away from the bone but were not tender at all, and were some how dry?? Pulled pork and chicken wings also lacked flavor. And when I say lacked flavor, I mean there wasn't even a hint of salt on those meat cuts... Coleslaw...
Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Great Northern BBQ, and it was an absolute delight! My Fiancé and I were sitting at a local brewery wondering what we should eat for dinner and searched up BBQ nearby. We stumbled upon Great Northern BBQ and we are so glad we did. The atmosphere is great and the service was amazing! We ordered a small platter to share, which came with smoked wings, pulled pork, ribs, coleslaw, cornbread and pickles. We added on 2 sides, Mac and cheese collard greens. Everything was delicious! We definitely found our new BBQ spot. We live about 45 minutes away and I have to say, this I well worth the drive!
Linda and I enjoy a good BBQ meal and from reading prior reviews, we dined at the Great Northern BBQ Co for dinner. We had reservations for 6:45pm and had no issues with walking right in for an inside table. The outside tables were full though with being a nice night. By 7:15pm, the inside was full as well so I would recommend reservations when dining after 7pm on the weekend. The food was delicious with ordering the small platter for two with a side of mashers with gravy. We ended the meal with the banana parfait. The inside had an eccentric atmosphere if you are a Twins Peak fan.
First time ordering from here. The staff was nice but the food was another story. I came in with high expectations from reading reviews and I was sadly disappointed. Pulled pork tasted of smoke with undertones of more smoke. The wings were salty and otherwise flavorless, bland sausage. The ribs were nice and tender but only had smoke for flavor. Didn't care for the pickle, didn't try the cornbread since it smelled of spoiled milk. The one upside which was surprising to me was the coleslaw and I am not a coleslaw person.

Amazing BBQ!!! We ordered the Huge platter which gave us a little taste of everything. Everything was amazing. Pulled pork was moist and tender. Ribs fell off the bone with amazing smoky flavor. Wings were crispy and delicious. Briskets were tender and flavorful. Smoked sausages were great too. Even the cornbread and coleslaws were delicious. It was a very pleasant surprise and we will definitely come back again!! Highly recommended!
Got coconut shrimp and it was a solid 8/10. The mac and cheese was also a 9/10. However the pulled pork plate was terrible. The pork was freezing cold and when they brought us a second plate it was also cold and even dryer than the first one. The drinks are also insanely expensive and not even that good. Might as well have been non alcoholic. This place is like a 2/10 at best.
Ordered a pound of Buffalo wings, great size and lots of sauce with a unique flavor that isn?t too heavily BBQ or Buffalo. A nice mix. Have definitely ordered more than once. Only knocking a star since they don?t allow for an ?all flats? option and the drum sticks come with quite a bit of fat. Overall delicious!
We've been 3 times so far and their food, drinks, hospitality and atmosphere are always great. Everything is pretty much made in house, I recommend you try their baby back ribs plate or the Mac and cheese with burnt ends with their in-house hot sauce or try both ???? it's delicious.

This place is divine. Good lord the food is incredible. I highly recommend the pulled pork nachos and brisket. Beer is cold and the interior has a timber lodge atmosphere. Definitely a hidden gem of a place!Food: 5/5
