We live in Bend Oregon, but travel to Flathead Lake every summer. Great Northern is an annual destination. You have a great tasting room on the ground floor, but we usually drive up and down into the hallway to the loft with a view of their brewing processes and where they keep the shuffleboard and darts: you also have TVs for your favorite sports etc. The chips and queso are a signature and we love to start with this appetizer. We also picked up the Calypso salad (Caprese). Our girls also ordered their root beer : Many laugh, relax and memories like we played shuffleboard and talked about exploring our Glacier Park adventures.
Came for a visit here in low season and had a very pleasant experience. Friendly staff and knowledge of the beer they create and serve. Great atmosphere and perfect service. It wasn't too busy when we were there, what was nice, we shared the flight of 12 and it was fun to find out what beer was my favorite. So many good to choose from, but if I had to, I would say that the Huckleberry beer was my favorite, as it was different than anything I had before. I even bought a 6 pack to get back to Canada. One of the best places to go while in Whitefish. The staff are always friendly and very informative about their beers, love the Wild Huckleberrie Lager! They have a great patio on the second story that overlooks Whitefish that is great to just relax and have a few beers on..And what more do you need great food! Well they have that too. A must try place while in the area.
This is a decent brewery, the beers are not too phenomenal, but they are good. The room is very nice and it is nice to play some games whether it is shuffleboard or flipper. Staff are very friendly and help you navigate the menu very well. Great location and nice to see a local brewery in Whitefish Montana.

Have our visits really enjoyed here! Very recommend to try a flight 5 types of beer. All are unique and tasteful! The main area is clean, bright and the staff is very friendly. We had the Bighorn Nachos and they were fantastic to share. Come back here!
A fantastic spot! It's super clean, the staff is friendly, and it has a wonderful aroma from the brewing. The beer is also excellent. I'll definitely visit again the next time I'm in Whitefish.
Great beer selection, friendly staff. Unfortunately only bar food and sandwiches (but they tasted great). If they had a more substantial food menu would probably have never left.
We really enjoyed the beer, especially the Huckleberry! Staff was friendly and courteous and the upstairs bar has a nice view of the brewhouse and production area.

Great atmosphere and staff in this 2 floor brewery. $11 for a flight of 5 and there is such a wide range of beers. They also serve food here on top of beers.
We discovered the Great Northern Brewing Company in Whitefish and decided to save our visit for the following evening after a day full of adventures.
