This used to be one of the best restaurants in town, but it has really declined recently. We found plastic in the ground meat of one of our dumplings, and the General Tso’s chicken tasted like the inside of an old refrigerator. There was barely any sauce, which might have helped cover up the fact that it had been sitting around for a long time. We’ve also had to stop ordering the Won Ton Soup because the wontons were stale every single time. I’m not sure what’s happening at Great Wall, but I would recommend avoiding it until they can get things back on track. Come on, guys, you used to be so much better than this!
I recently moved to Flemington and discovered that this restaurant offers the same high quality of food I used to enjoy at places in Chinatown, NY. The chef's expertise in Cantonese and Mandarin cuisine really shines through in their dishes. I've tried various other restaurants before finding The Great Wall, but I plan to return to explore more of their menu. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend this place. Just a side note: my family used to own a Chinese restaurant in Staten Island, NY, so I know good Chinese food when I taste it!
simply horrible. Sesame chicken has pasty coating with gelatinous, flavorless sauce. Pork fried rice nearly devoid of pork. It's essentially white rice with some coloring. Egg roll so undercooked I threw it away. It's not that hard to make decent food.
I ordered a quart of chicken with broccoli but received only 2.25 Cups. I'm tired of these type of places using the small takeout containers to charge the same price for a pint and a quart. I won't return because it was overpriced for the amount given.
