Green Bamboo Peking House

We visited for a second time and they had a late start opening and several patrons were waiting in vehicles. After waiting some time were told it would be another 15 minute wait. Strolled over to the park down the street, people were waiting there too. There's another Asian restaurant 2 doors down that was closed, so Green Bamboo got the regulars and the overflow. By the time we go back the place was almost full! Buffet items had about a dozen hot items, for desert 2 fruits, 2 cakes with fortune cookies. Not a lot but it was tasty. Many, many good healthy foods served. If you let them know that you are diabetic, or have food concerns, they are very good about making your order that takes care of your special needs. Often they are rushed (not enough hands) and it can be slow, but it is worth the wait. The Shrimp is the best anywhere in Alberta. Their Ginger Beef is just the way it should be - tasty and some body to it, something that you will enjoy chewing. Any of the Veggie dishes are a smashing hit.The owners are lovely hard working family people - and they are a credit to our little town.

The Green Bamboo Chinese Restaurant offers a traditional Chinese Food assortment with the Alberta famous Ginger Beef likely the top seller. We have eaten there and ordered take out several times over the years and most of the time the quality of food at the Green Bamboo is very good. That said, once in a while, the food quality slips a bit and the service can be sporadic as well. On balance, it is a good choice for supper but be careful as the hours the restaurant is open varies at times.

This is a prairie small-town Chinese food restaurant so adjust your expectations accordingly. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the dishes (quite large - we ordered two entrees each and had leftovers for another meal). Your food comes out as it's ready so it's not sitting under heat lamps. We definitely recommend this "mom and pop" restaurant over the chain restaurants in town. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food was pretty good. Service was reasonably fast. The lady serving seemed a bit gruff, but she may have had a bad day, she seemed better at the end of the meal. Food was priced fairly, the restaurant is reasonably nice. I would be fine with sending someone there to eat. There are limited good restaurants in Pincher and this one is a little better than some.

We placed our order at 4:00pm, we were told it would be 25-30 mins. We arrived at 4:30 and they were closed, doors locked and no lights on. Myself and another couple waited until 4:50 and still nobody came to unlock the door, so we left. Terrible for a restaurant to take an order if they know they won't be open.

Enjoyed wonderful tasting food served quickly. However the place was in good need of cleaning. Our server was reading a newspaper while tables were dirty and needed setting. Would love to go back for the taste, but I do wonder about the kitchen hygiene.

I did not like the food. The ginger beef was overcooked and cardboard-like with no flavor. Sweet and sour pork was good but had too much batter. Fried rice was tasteless. Service was good. Reserva una mesa ahora

Friendly service but needs to stay off the phone. Needs to get peoples drinks. Not just h2o. Need to clean tables faster Wont look so dirty. Food was not bad at all. Large plates.

Saturday night dinner while in town, 3 of us, from the Buffet table. It was good and plentiful. Management attentive. Mostly families enjoying a night out for reasonable cost.
