Green Lane Fish And Chip

We'd decided to go to Green Lane fish and chip restaurant last Friday having had a busy day.We had been intending to have the rag pudding but when we sat down Paul the owner manager told us they were doing a Christmas special which he highly recommended as did all the staff. So we both had the Festive pie with chips,mushy peas and gravy. The pie included Turkey,sausages,stuffing in gravy and was absolutely delicious.We both really enjoyed it but I struggled to eat it all as it was quite a generous portion. As usual the staff were very friendly and helpful. The service has always been excellent and overall value for money.

We came as a party of 3 for an evening meal. Our friend that came with us is gluten and dairy free and he often struggles with menu choices in restaurants. Not here. There is a fabulous extensive selection of gluten free food even down to gluten free beer. They readily provided oat milk and he was even able to have dairy free ice cream as dessert. We could not fault the food whatsoever. We were so impressed and will be back next time he is over from Guernsey. Thank you so much.

Spare of the moment decision early Saturday evening, although busy we had a choice on comfortable seating that suited us. My starter was the fish goujons and lovely fresh fish inside a light batter. We both chose the lightly battered cod for mains and as always very tasty and cooked well. The service is nice and friendly with staff taking time to chat and socialise

Absolutely fantastic food and service visited for wife's 50 Birthday gluten free menu is excellent my wife is Coeliac so hard to find good restaurants offering free from, I am not but had gluten free food was really tasty good quick friendly service would highly recommend will definitely be back thanks.

Good food festive pie superb and a lot of it, gluten free scampi Good, licensed too. Good menu and special board had greek food last night. Clean spacious seating area friendly and helpful staff. Not bad prices for a restaurant.
