After being badly let down by a pub down the road where we went to dine, then didnt, we travelled the very short distance to the Green Man. Although the pub was incredibly busy (midweek, a good sign! we were greeted warmly and advised straight away of the long wait. That was fine, good to know first and judging from the food coming out, was worth the wait obviously. Chatted to the friendly guy who took our order. Great choices on the menu. The chicken dish my friend ordered was outstanding, beautifully presented, and an ample portion with superbly cooked veg. After visiting this place earlier on in the year I decided to return to try out their Sunday Menu, Despite not making a reservation the lovely staff managed to squeeze us in. I chose the trio of meats and wow the portion sizes do not disappoint, everything was cooked perfectly and was one of the best roasts I’ve had in a while. It’s also a very nice touch with kids eating free too, my daughter had a kids chicken roast and the portion size was also very good despite it being free. Grew a beard waiting for food. Never been here before so thought we would give it a try for Sunday lunch. Can honestly say I won’t be returning. This place does not have not enough staff to handle customer orders. Sat at table and waited 10 mins for drinks order. Then waited a further 20 mins to put food order in and eventually the food arrived 1 hr 10 mins later. I ordered the Beef roast dinner and the beef was tough, the roast potatoes were hard and looked like they were potential ready made frozen ones. I didn’t bother asking for a dessert as it took so long to get dinner I couldn’t be bothered with a further 1 hour wait. Very disappointing and alittle sad. 1 out of 5
Bowls lunch. The place was freezing,boiler had broken,there were fans,but,not sufficient. Soup ,tasty,but Luke warm,bread dry. Not enough bread with the Pate,crackers would of been better! Dinner plates,stone cold! I mean stone cold. Fish n chips ok.chicken supreme,need colour on the plate to make it look appealing,even if it wasn’t! People had pre ordered their food,weeks ago,so to be told no sticky toffee pudding,is shambolic,they were told there was sticky toffee cheesecake! No,it was chocolate fudge cake aka Costco. My desert was Anton Mess,no it wasn’t it was Rhubarb and custard,yuk! In a water glass! Now I know why have been for 6 years!

This pub/hotel was booked for one night, local to Champneys. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had an excellent evening meal and a comfortable night’s sleep. We planned to have a light breakfast after eating too much the evening before, but with all the cooked breakfast laid out so beautifully, we indulged and thoroughly enjoyed it. A little gem of a place if you need to stay in the area or are just passing through. Reasonably priced for bed and breakfast too. There’s everything you need.
Lovely meal out with the family, three children, three adults. Quick and attentive service. Both waitresses were polite and helpful, as was the guy in the bar area. The food was lovely, very well cooked, delicious. Two Sunday roasts, succulent chicken, all seemed fresh and homemade. Ham and egg dish again all cooked really well, very tasty. Kids loved there steak and goujons. Deserts were delicious too! Very lovely meal out, would recommend and will prob go again this week. Kids ate free too!
I visited the Green Man for the first time and was pleased to find a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has ample seating and offers a wide variety of delicious options on the menu. The prices are affordable and the venue is family-friendly. They also offer accommodation at a reasonable rate. I will definitely be returning for another visit.
Adam, Mark, and the team were exceptional during our daughter's wedding. We highly recommend them. They made us feel very welcome and were willing to help with anything we needed. The food was excellent, the venue was beautiful, and we would gladly return. Thank you all for everything, you should be proud of yourselves!

Have stayed before, so we were delighted to return to for a 3 day stay while catching up with friends and visiting airshows. As enjoyable stay as ever and well worth mentioning the excellent service and comedy duo performance provided by Evie and Grace, who put up with us admirably. Thanks very much for having us.
Poor cleanliness in rooms. I found month's worth of dust behind beside light! Restaurant staff were good. Food ok.
