The place has some really great food. I had Pani Puri, which is among the best by far I have had in Sydney. For mains, we ordered butter chicken and palak tofu which were both delicious. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the option to order paneer instead of tofu with palak but the taste more than made up for this. Garlic naan was a bit dry, would recommend ordering cheese naan which is excellent although their naans are generally a tad smaller. As for ambience, while the seating and decor are cute, the place can get a bit crowded and hence a little noisy.
Every vegan eatery I’ve been to in Newtown has been a delight, and the Green Mushroom is no exception. Nice decor and a wonderful smell of spices hit you as you enter the restaurant. The staff are polite welcoming. There’s an abundance of delicious dishes on offer the 3 entrée main dishes we chose were simply amazing and I’m sure whatever you choose would be just as delicious. Another vegan gem to add to the many gems in Newtown.
my favourite restaurant in sydney hands down. The service is always 10/10 the food is 10/10 and I just keep coming back. Highly recommend palak tofu, eggplant potato masala and the tandoori tofu. I am gluten free (non-coeliac) and vegan and have the most choice of any restaurant i’ve been too. food comes fast and the restaurant is lovely. This is the best vegan restaurant!!!
a perfect customer service! there was a problem with my order, because I used the doorstep, but the staff/owner so graciously sorted it also on the house. Many thanks, they really made my day and I will certainly be back for more delicious vegan indian!

Honestly so happy to find an all vegan Indian place that has an abundance of options.Everything we had was so tasty. 100% recommend and will be back.
Was there on Saturday night for a function. Looove this place. The food is amazing and sooo filling. The staff and owner are fantastic.
