Greggs is sadly just a very generic brand and doesn 't stand out from the other coffee shops and eateries around Rayleigh... Some of the staff sadly lack the basics of customer service and could do with learning how a smile and pleasant attitude could encourage a better experience for the those wanting to buy things from them. Cleaning is certainly something that needs better attention in here, I appreciate footfall can be unpredictable, but some of the tables were a state and hadn 't been cleared for a while judging by the stack of dirty crockery on the used collection table! It would also be nice to have a toilet that could be used without the need to find a staff member to come and unlock...
Just a few lines having had time to kill we headed to rayleigh high street for a look in a few shops the good wife said i think we can have a hot drink so in we went quick service as we were just before the dinner time rush a latte and espresso plus a cookie for the wife and a sausage roll plus belgium bun both drinks were fine as usual and also the sausage roll and cookie shame about the bun it looked so nice but was found to be very dry inside not unlike a 2 day old bun would be but hey ho, nice and clean and always a smiling face till next time
I cannot praise their sausage rolls enough. Whether cold or warm, they are delicious and highly addictive. As someone who is 15 stone and 5'9", I am very familiar with Greggs, but these rolls continue to satisfy my cravings. I never have to search for a vein when I want one. Keep up the great work! However, Grouts is a different story... I would rather lick a street bin than try their cheesecake.
Every time I've been to this restaurant, the food has been cold, there is a lack of items on display, and it seems like everything is replaced at the last minute. It's a waste of money when they can't even keep pastries warm! The staff is rude and hostile, and they can't even manage to give a friendly smile. It makes me want to go to Costa instead!

This Greggs in Rayleigh is great. The service is friendly and there is plenty of seating in the back of the shop or you can sit outside and enjoy watching the world pass by on the High Street. The coffee at this store is always good.
Staff are extremely rude, customer service was also not great , staff are very rude to their younger customers. Food was nice however would not go back due to the discourteous attitude of some staff.
Great bread cakes and pies the sandwiches are freshly done a full of filling staff friendly and alway persuade me to get their donuts and fresh cream cakes well I can't say no can I lol
Very helpful staff and lovely cakes and Pizza. Pizza was cold from display so member of staff cooked a fresh one for my daughter.

Such a shame that Greggs have gone in a different direction! No longer have the long queue out the door every day!
All greggs are good. food food. good price. happy to serve you.always clean and free milk to top-up.
