Thought we’d go and check out the iconic Harvard area. Mid Dec so pretty cold. Ravenous after our flight from the UK, we stumbled upon this place. Really young clientele, I assume students. Some with faces buried in law books, whilst supping on pints of Guinness. The place had an instant great vibe. Wish I was 30 years younger, Beer was good and the garlic bread starter with dip was one of the tastiest I’ve ever eaten. My chipotle bbq brisket and mash was fall apart tender and delicious. Outstanding value for money and a real gem in the area.
Great place to sit and while away the hours. Very busy little pub atmosphere. It's in the basement so don't expect a lot of light. Fun bar environment with additional food items. We had cocktails and beer and enjoyed ourselves. Definitely worth the stop.
The food was surprisingly good. Looked it up online and all I saw was German food and that is the reason we went. But that is not what it is. But is was very good.
Cozy and comfortable. Just a few touches of set dressing and it could look like part of the Harry Potter universe! Reasonably priced comfort food and drinks.

We've been here twice, once for dinner. Good food and service, definitely a crowd that includes students and grown-ups, lol. Highly recommended!
Great service! The location is perfect and the outdoor seating had a great atmosphere and was shady, perfect for a summer day
It's not exactly Harvard but close enough. You feel like you're at the ratskeller. Prices are good atmosphere is collegial
