Grill Courtepaille

This bright but smart venue on the motorway service area next to the Ibis hotel was conveniently open late and the staff were welcoming even after 22-00. The waiter was helpful and patient with my limited French language skills. The starter of salmon a bed of aubergines was good, accompanied by a nice bottle of Normandy cider. While this was eaten you could observe the meat [chicken] for next course being freshly cooked [grilled] over an open fire. The roast chicken with potatoes and green beans was very pleasant and filling. So much so that a desert wasn't needed. Very good quality, service and value for money.

After a long drive down from Calais all I wanted was a bite to eat and to use the Internet. I chose Chicken Skewers, Perrier and Coffee which came to €17.34 after using the obligatory 15% discount voucher that I picked up in the reception of my F1 Hotel. The food was good quality, the restaurant was clean and the service efficient. What more can you ask for the price?

I had dinner here while being on my trip to the south of France. We had Tartar and my melon with Jamon The Jamon was nearly not eatable. Try to find something better. There are a lot of possibilities nearby.

The food is very nice and you can choose a lot of vegetables. You are served very quick. The prices are honest.

As it is next door to Hotel Ibis it is the nest choice. Enough to choose from the menu, kind service.
