Ended up here on the Saturday we arrived when Mayrhofen was particularly busy because high winds stopped the Gondola. We thought the food was very well presented and tasty - got the impression that the chef knew what he was doing and he made sure all the orders were sent out to a good standard (even the burgers looked classy). The only downside was the speed of service - which was on the slow side and because there appeared to be only one chef and one waiter - they were hard pushed to keep up. In fact they turned people away rather than try and accommodate them - so its not a place for large groups. However, would return especially when its not so busy.
Lovely little place to sit outside and watch the Mayrhofen world go by, or inside where the chunky wood and fur decor have a cosy and homely feel. The food here is very good indeed, particularly the alm-gröstl and the strawberry dumpling and the proprietor is welcoming and efficient. One not to miss.
