The chips were either too small or too thick, there was no medium option and the fish was very hot and boiled with the skin on, which some people do not like and do not eat. The takeaway boxes were sturdy, but they needed a wider carry bag to lay them flat. Additional packaging would be helpful as well, as I had to carry the boxes under my arm and they were hot. Always chatty , very well dressed and always happy to help if you want some advice....The menu is extensive and the fish always fresh and plentiful. Their pies sausages and saveloy are always good. I was extremely disappointed and left feeling crushed. My partner picked up takeout tonight and was shocked at the prices - over £22 for plaice and chips and cod and chips. To make matters worse, the fish was overcooked. What's more, we noticed an easily accessible menu showing both meals were £5 cheaper in total. When my partner asked about this discrepancy, he was told that they were not supposed to display those menus. There was no offer to honor the lower prices from the menu. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
Where I live in the East End, it’s hard to find decent fish and chips so it’s always a delight when I’m in Bromley and savour the real deal. Well done! I hasten to add this was a takeaway. I’ve found eating in to be...excellent as well it’s rather plain not somewhere to take your first date but it works very well.

Unfortunately the last few times I’ve ordered chips from this place they’ve been unbelievably hard, dry crispy but the fish is nice. The staff are nice friendly as it’s my local I will of course continue to use it but keep my...fingers crossed that the chips improve!
had read the beautiful reviews. the grilled fish was good, but very expensive. the oil that was used to taste as if it had been used too often. that spoiled the taste of the fish. beyond. were the chips very hard, can't imagine how they can do that.
We frequently visit The Grillery for their delicious fish and chips at an affordable price. The mini fish and chips option is especially great value for money. The staff is friendly and easy to deal with, enhancing the overall dining experience.
Very good food, well presented and reasonably priced. I had cod and chips with mussy peas along with a glass of Pinot. I will definitely be going back for the quality fish and chips. Best in the area.
