I planned a surprise birthday dinner here for a party of 9 guests and the hostess and server went above and beyond! I called numerous times asking questions and just making sure everything was in order and they were always so helpful! Our server was seriously fantastic and handled our group like an expert! Drinks were always topped off, food came hot and delicious. The salmon was amazing! We also ordered a filet which was excellent as well. I brought a cake from a local bakery and our server brought us plates, a knife, really stream lined the process in every way! I would definitely come back here for a celebration or for just a yummy meal!
This place is excellent. Three of us went there today and were seated right away, and all the staff were very friendly and efficient. The interior of the building was very pleasing with a homey atmosphere, and as a bonus wasn't even cold. Thank goodness. I started off with a Manhattan cocktail that was very good and not watered down at all. That's almost rare anymore. I then got the southern fried salad, which was just perfect and very good sized. My tablemates both also loved their food. So all in all I have nothing but good things to say about this place and I can strongly recommend it to everybody. I know I'll be going back too.
Very disappointing experience. We were with a group of friends. Our waitress was pleasant. The service out of the kitchen was poor. One member of our party didn't receive his meal. 5 minutes later a manager came out, did not apologize but simply said the food had been dropped.... Not one of us thought he was sincere. Another received a partially wrong order and another person's food was cold. There was no compensation for the meal that eventually arrived as some of us were finishing. We've enjoyed coming here frequently, but won't return. Too many options to return where management concern was so low.
I had the Ribeye, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly to Med Rare, but the cap on the ribeye, most people's favorite part, was very small and mostly fat and tendon. Mashed potatoes were tasty but room temperature. Broccoli was a healthy portion, warm, and very good. I sat at the bar and had a nice beer on tap. I ordered a breaded tenderloin. All the condiments were on the side. It was not one of the large thin type, but a little larger than the bun and ½ ' thick. It was fried just perfect and very delicious. I was only able to eat half of it because of its size plus it came with my choice of sides which were steamed broccoli which were also perfect. What a great find. Can't believe I had never been here. The ambiance and decor are amazing. The waitress was right on top of everything and very helpful with menu suggestions. I went for the Hoosier plate which was a tenderloin basically in chicken fried chicken style. The gravy and mashed potatoes were spot on. Another member got the bison burger and was very impressed.
