after many stays in Switzerland I came to the Swiss “’Gilde Gourmet’’ guide when I was looking for traditional restaurants with nice eating and pleasant atmosphere. greental is undoubtedly one of them despite its not so glamorous location between the railway station and an industrial area. The dining room is on the smaller size, but offers an intimate and relaxed feeling. Thumbs-up to liliane for their efficient and professional service. during dinner the chef also came out to welcome the guests much appreciated. the menu is short with the focus on seasonal products. as an appetizer I had the earlylingssalat with heavy fish delicate and tasty. as a main course I chose the beginning of the day, which was a duo of scree (norwegian cadjau) and trout served with a mushroom sauce: quite generous and tasty portion, the fish was very fresh. as sweet, I pampered with a delicious sample of mango sorbet, mouse au chocolat, coconut ice cream and orange sponge cake. Unfortunately, the Swiss always had a high price structure, even on the country. the (warming) bill be punishmently not all budget, but the excellent food and the great service are worth it.

my second visit in this restaurant proved to be pleasant as the previous one. fredi koller chef and tenant is really welcoming, time for a little chat with each guest and lilly still offers the same friendly and efficient service. very appreciated. The...Menu is kept very short and concentrates on fresh and seasonal products. I chose the suggestions of the day, starting with the “appetizer cellar” i.e. rehearsal of various appetizers (mixed salate, smoked salmon, raw thunfisch, wasabi panna cotta, bark tatar). delicious and delicious. as a main course I was tried by the calf sauce in mushroom sauce, served with sweet and gratin dauphinois. much more generous part was the flesh tasteful and very delicate. the bill reflects the high price structure of the Swiss. but they are rewarded by excellent eating and service.

this is one of the few restaurants I think is reasonable in price and has a high quality. this little red house is hard to find, but it is worth it. I love the clams. it is fresh and very tasty. I remember the...taste after many years of my visit. it's really delicious!
