This place encapsulates what an Austrian ski chalet should be. Simple but tasty food from local ingredients, cozy settings, fabulous views, and friendly staff. We were disappointed by many other places we visited in the Mayrhofen ski resort. This restaurant is the best. They make very good salad, excellent spinach dumplings and delicious traditional dishes. The cappuccino is strong and goes well with the excellent apple strudel. It is also cheaper than other food in the ski slopes.
We've been eating for years. Joseph and all the staff are so friendly. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The views are spectacular. It's a little hidden, but once you find it, you'll be back again and again. The goulash soup or the lentil soup with sausages are my favorite. All made home. Something special. Try it.
Easy hidden gem. As soon as you find it, we will return you year after year. Joseph and his family are such friendly and efficient hosts. Beautiful pretty expensive menu and stunning views over Mayrhofen.

Really hearty tast food, just what you need after a mornings skiing. Very clean and loads of tables. The view is just THE BEST. Sat looking at mountains with gluwein is just brilliant
Schöne Hütte unterhalb der PenkenBahn. Aufmerksamer, freundlicher Service. Tolle Aussicht ins Zillertal und Tuxertal.
