What a fabulous Restaurant. the interior is nothing salubrious , your typical local Restaurant with lots of seating. Service was lovely . What stood out as outstanding was the quality of the food. It was really quite fantastic. The dumblings were simply fresh and delicious. The chicken tikka was tender and beautifully spiced. The dahl was yummy. I have to say when it comes to food Ive been around and so its difficult for me to give a rating above 3. The food was so good here at gurkhali that if i was just to rate the food for the price point it is at I would give it a 5. That's quite impressive. Enjoyed the food at the restaurant formerly called Gurkhali (now called Himalayan). Mo:Mos were delicious as were the Nepalese dishes we tried. Butter chicken tastes of honey and wasn't eaten, only disappointment food wise. Also note that the Entertainment Book has a voucher for Gurkhali (same restaurant as far as we could tell, down to the all you can eat Mo:Mo offer) but would not honour it as now trading as Himalayan.
My husband and I decided to take out the Butter Chicken with Garlic and Cheese Naan. We enjoy Naan from time to time, and overall it met our expectations, although we wished it had a stronger garlic flavor. The Butter Chicken was tasty, and the sauce was perfect for dipping the Naan Bread. Overall, it was a delicious meal with very friendly staff in a cozy little restaurant.
We were delighted with our meal(s), flavorsome to say the least. The service was lovely, very attentive and as you would expect, the staff was very knowledgeable with the items on the menu. We went early and was able to take advantage of the early bird dinner with a 20% discount. I highly recommend this restaurant, great food and very reasonably priced.

We hadn't tried Nepalese food and always look forward to trying new tastes. We were welcomed by friendly staff who described the dishes. I think adults and children alike would find menu choices to their satisfaction. We shared entree, main and finished with Mango kulfi (ice cream) - delicious.
Momo night is first Monday every month. $20 all you can eat nepalese dumplings. Fabulous flavours in the sauces. I'm not a huge eater so can get better value from the standard menu which is packed with clean, healthy, tasty options at very reasonable prices.
This restaurant being just opposite the hotel where we were staying and loving nepalese food,we decided to dine here.A cold and windy place for a start does not bring your appetite.Not much of a nepalese but more indian at that.Nothing more to say.
Wow what amazing food!!! The quality and flavoursome food was exceptional. Such friendly and welcoming staff. If I was a local, I would dine here every week.

The food was fantastic. The three of us enjoyed our meals very much. The mo mo's were particularly delicious. The service was excellent!
