Gus's Orginal Hot Dog

Good dogs and beautiful atmosphere. Gus is exactly what a hot dog place should be. Small, picturesque, nothing imagination with a small TV playing ESPN in the corner. In addition, you can not beat the friendly service and warm reaction when you run in the door. The special dog is excellent. I also had a daughter-in-law and a dog with chili, Slav and mustard. All three were great. Combined with the friendly service, this little place is hard to beat even though I haven't tried Chicago Mike's yet.

Great food: hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. Breakfast excellent. Friendly service. Great neighborhood. Only something to improve is decoration very dated and scattered.

Ernie is the best. Since Ernie bought Gus's hot dogs in Crestline Village the hot dogs are #1. I don't know of a better hot dog or a nicer person than Ernie.

Yum! I love this place! The staff is always super friendly and the food always comes fast and hot. Best Chili dogs in Birmingham!

Even if the Gus's HOT DOGS is called, the Philly Chesse Steak is the best in Birmingham! Better than Salems. I love it!
