Gut Heimendahl - Haus Bockdorf

We drove 30 minutes out of Dusseldorf to find this enchanting café/shop/farm/art gallery/antique store at Haus Bockdorf. The food is not only homemade but most of it is home-grown - absolutely delicious!! It was by far the highlight of our whole trip to Dusseldorf... not only is it in the beautiful countryside, but after our meal we visited their specialty store with not only lots of their homemade juices, jams, meats, and specialties but gorgeous things for the home and to wear. An idyllic but at the same time also a little positive “satisfactory” Well...unexpectedly located on an inconspicuous/classic country or Fast road at Kempen. Great, old and well preserved farm. Farm shop with organic vegetables and products from own production/sleeping food and non food. Nice, helpful staff. The manor is the madness... but a little stubborn. A bit like a miniature à la Batman Mansion, but unfortunately without access to the public... which is okay, but it has already been interested in me burningly how it looks inside : Guided tours can be booked through the connected “Animal Park”.

It was there for the first time. Very nice ambience, very good selection of meat, also from lamb, as well as poultry. In addition, there is everything a peasant business offers. Above many more made of wool and other beautiful parts. Travel is worthwhile

it is a small castle in the middle of nothing very charming place. there is a souvenir shop where they can buy wool products, cheese and meet all homemade and organic. beautiful place to visit
