The food here is so good, and it is filling a niche both being open on sunday and with the type of food they serve. So far I've tried the steak gyro and the lamb shawarma, both which came with fries or salad. Salad is pretty simple but fine if you aren't feeling fries, but the fries are crunchy and extremely well seasoned, way better than in and out. The sandwiches (gyro/shwarma) are even better, I demolish them every time. Overall I recommended, if you are thinking about it just give it a try. The only con for some would be if you eat here, expect a meal portion, not leftovers for your next two meals. It's filling, you just can't order one thing and expect it to feed your whole family.
Had a chicken gyro with fries, my wife ordered something with a salad and we shared a mango Lassi. It was delicious! We barely even spoke. Everything was fresh and the service was great. I liked that there were options one the menu for those that are afraid of gyros, like the chicken Philly cheese steak or you can also get a cheese burger with fries. The fries are bomb by the way. We were just passing through but if I end up out that way again I'd probably try the chicken Philly. Don't get me wrong the gyros are one point but I'm a sucker for a good chicken Philly
Overall, Gyro receives a 4 out of5. Below is the reasoning for my rating. FOOD: Overall 5. The food is great and well seasoned. SERVICE: Service was average. For a small “hole in the wall”, the service was good. Communication with the person taking our order was a bit challenging, however, he got the job done. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is not great, it is dirty and looks old. This is the primary reason I am giving this place a 4. The food is great. If they updated the inside and made it more inviting it would be a 5/5.
Love this place. This is my go-to spot for lunch. Best lamb-steak shwarma in Sacramento. They have affordable prices and the the food is always hot and fresh. The new guy (sorry Im horrible with remembering names) at the front counter has outstanding customer service, remembers my order every time I come in and you can tell that he cares about his work. I would definitely come here again, so tasty delicious, got the mixed gyro(lamb, chicken steak)with the Greek salad(so lite crunchy) baclava for dessert. I loved the seasonings for the meats, the gyro had so many toppings To me its just a little wasteful with how much styrofoam containers are used for take ways. Table was a little dirty with crumbs, but we managed. I think it's definitely still coming out of the Rona scene.
SUPPORT LOCAL FAMILY OWNED BUSINESSES! Another craving that I can satisfy only when I come here. Been a loyal customer for five years. We order the spicy falafel wrap or veggie gyro. Fresh ingredients and made to order. I wish I can encompass the flavor in a review. Just know I'm already craving it for next week.
I usually don't come into a place 15 mins before they close but I did tonight and I really appreciate that they didn't seem put out about it. I was somewhat familiar with what I wanted and the guy at the counter patiently answered my questions. Very good food and very good service.
