Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

I’m from out of town, I visited on a trip to Vancouver. Ordered the chefs choice menu and added fried gyoza dumplings.The place is busy! I highly recommend a reservation. Visited at 5:30pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was packed.Chef’s choice menu is enough to fill you up. The soup is quite large and the meat selection is filling without leaving you overstuffed. I’m a big eater and I was satisfied.It’s a casual dining atmosphere. If you dressed up you would be overdressed.I loved the food. They let you know upon arrival there is a time limit on your seating (I think 2hrs but I could be mistaken) but I never felt rushed.They have a menu of daily drink specials.Overall I had a great experi...

My wife and I had lunch lunch special here. You can go with 2 or 3 kinds of meat. Wife went with 3 kinds of beef and I had pork belly chicken and side ordered mushrooms. I don’t eat beef but wife said 2 of the 3 beef are very good. My pork belly and chicken are good too. Love the mushrooms with butter and garlic, very seeet and juicy.

My fiancé loves this restaurant so we came for his birthday. The food is so good, and we love the beer shandies! We always walk away super satisfied. Service is great as well, the servers always take the times to explain the menu and different options for you. Highly recommended!!!

We love it here! The food is amazing and the service is always great. We always order the course menu (meat lovers) for 2, and it's more than enough for my family of 3. Today, we tried the Holiday Special for 2 and loved it as always.

This was the second time I've been to a Gyu-Kaku location and it was amazing!! Our server was so nice and accommodating of my friends food allergies! Def recommend for a nice dinner!
