I decided to pick this restaurant for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner because my friend said it was the best of the best. I am so glad I went with her recommendation! This was the first time either of us went to a grill-your-own restaurant, and it was such a fun experience. Our server gave us the option of getting an assortment of meats since we weren’t sure of what to start with. I think this was perfect because we got to try items we might not have chosen. I need to get a lot of pre-Covid here. service was top animal, eating was amazing, atmosphere was beautiful. I don't know what happened, but it's not the same. food is still excellent, but the service / management is in my opinion. the long waiting times are expected, but in all the years I'm here, I never had a 45 min- 1hr long waiting period waiting for 2.5 almost 3 hours while still waiting on the waiting list! gyubee will always be my favorite place in toronto to dinate, but I would lie if I said this place has changed all the better. because I don't miss the old gyubee

I've lived in Toronto for 18 years and have never truly came across a jbbq place like Gyubee. The meat has quality and is always fresh, and the service is instantaneous. The only issue is the wait time, but it makes sense that people are waiting 2 hours to go to a restaurant like this. I'm so excited for my next visit! I've also tried the Dundas location and both are good, so go to the one with a quicker wait list.

It's pricey, but totally worthwhile! Expect to wait if you're dining here for dinner, so make sure to join the Yelp waitlist to save some time. The variety of meats is absolutely incredible. I appreciate that they slice the meat thin, which helps it cook more quickly. The cold noodles and bibimbap are also quite good. For dessert, be sure to try the crème brûlée and melona (either coconut or mango).

We visited this restaurant a few weeks ago to celebrate my friend's birthday. It’s a fun spot, especially with a small group. Be prepared to be patient as you cook your own food. While I’m not usually a fan of this type of dining experience, I found this restaurant to be quite good overall. There was a slight misunderstanding with the waitstaff, but they were very friendly.

We tried everything from the lunch menu and had dessert; we opted for a popsicle, choosing the mango and purple flavors. Everything was fantastic! The waiting time for our orders was minimal, and the waitresses did an excellent job. Yes, they truly earned a generous tip for their great service!

I really appreciate the fast service, and the overall food quality is quite good. The kimchi, bibimbap, and meat options are fairly standard. However, I believe there are a few other restaurants in Toronto that offer better quality meat at a similar price.

Just to clarify, the Scarborough location is excellent with excellent service. My issue is with the Bloor Location. Very frustrating especially having such a great experience at the Scarborough location. But I appreciate that you replied to this review.

The staff is friendly, approachable, and eager to recommend other dishes. The meat dishes are well-seasoned and incredibly delicious. The space is clean, particularly during the Halloween season, when the decorations are charming and festive.

This is an excellent spot for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ! I highly recommend it, but be sure to snag a seat if you can. All the meats are delicious, and the side dishes are fantastic as well—especially the cold tofu.
