Disclaimer: make sure to make a reservation if attempting to dine here on a weekend. Came on a Friday night and was told that you need a reservation but the waitress sat us within a window before the next reservation was arriving. The atmosphere in the restaurant is charming and they have tons of stuff for sale on the side. The food was filling, tasty and with a much needed beer to compliment the dishes. Definitely satisfying in taste and presentation. Ice cold Orion is a must when getting their fried dishes such as the karaage or the pig ear. The soba was filling and the tonkatsu curry was hearty in taste.
What a great find for home-cooked like food. You will find stewed pork trotters and other strews with dishes not found in normal Japanese restaurants. They have the usuals, of course but I come here for the unusual. For my first time, I ordered the Ikura, uni and salmon over rice entree. Turns out the Ikura was barely a tablespoonful; only two small uni and dried shredded salmon. Not a lot of food for $28. My side dish of pig’s trotters were wonderful, melt-in -your mouth delish skin and tendon for under $6; something I will be coming back for every week!! Can’t wait to try their other home-cooked food.
This is a fantastic Okinawa restaurant that serves the most typical Okinawa cuisine as well as more innovative, twisted dish of the Okinawa fashion, which is rarely even found in Tokyo. The atmosphere is small and cozy, the staff are friendly and tell you what you should try depends on your desire. One of the rare places in the USA, where Orion Draft (beer from Okinawa) is served in frozen glass! Nice! You can also try most of all kinds of Imuraya deserts like Yawamochi or Ultra soft Daifuku. I really want this restaurant in my neighborhood.
Amazing Japanese food is found here. My wife and I moved from Japan and were looking for a place to kill our craving for Okinawan food. We were so happy to see all of the favorites on the menu. We ordered Orion beer, Okinawa soba, karage, and muzuku. It was all really delicious. I was so excited to have Okinawa soba again since I couldn’t find it since I moved back to America. This cozy little Japanese/Okinawan restaurant offers authentic cuisine and is perfect for lunch. I sampled their daily special, which was mackerel grilled to perfection and served alongside Okinawan soba noodles. I also enjoyed a delicious curry featuring tender, peeled crabs. Each lunch set comes with a choice of rice, either white or a purplish grain variety, both of which have a lovely texture. The small space fills up quickly, so I highly recommend this place, especially for dinner.

Who knew? Japanese dive taco shops exist! I'm a big Ramen fan and try to scout out new places wherever I go. Habuya is a tiny ramen/sushi/Japanese shop in what seems to be a kinda sketchy part of town, but it's absolutely worth it. The smoky Shoyu Ramen is only $12.50 and was very tasty. Others around me were enjoying sushi. I'll be back to try more from their varied menu.
I had a great and amazing time here and had a chance to meet some great and amazing people that are friends with my wife. Food was amazing and the beer was awesome (I love Sapporo lol). It's straightforward—no flashy decor, no loud dubstep music, and you won't find yourself sitting next to anyone reciting poetry about the 102 ways to eat bacon. Instead, there's just a selection of wine and beer, the charm of a small town, and a friendly mom figure who loves to chat.
