Hacienda Santa Teresa

Who knew one of the best Mexican spots in the GTA would be all the way up in Bradford? And by best, I 'm not adding any qualifiers around value or location or specific food or any of that. Hacienda Santa Teresa is flat out one of the best we have. I 've been here a couple of times over the span of only a couple of weeks, making that hour plus drive just to experience a bit of Mexico. While I 'm not just talking about the food, let 's start there. This is another great local independent small business that serves homemade-style Mexican cuisine. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are quite generous. The steak burrito is excellent, complete with a side. If you're not very hungry, you can opt for the kids' burrito, which offers a smaller version of its larger counterpart. The atmosphere feels more like a hole-in-the-wall or dive bar than a traditional restaurant, but they feature live music on weekends and maintain a lively energy most of the time. They used to host karaoke here before discontinuing it.

Chanced upon this authentic Mexican restaurant after our hike in the trails in Scanlan Creek. Now I can not stop thinking about it want to go back! Warm friendly service from Diego welcomed us with a pitcher of ice water and yummy chips and freshest salsa. I had a rose sangria before we started our feast. Quesadilla with 3 choices of meat delicious cochinita, carne asada and chorizo. Ceviche de cameron was so fresh tasting. Plantains..platanos con crema and cafe de olla to end. What a great find!

First time trying Hacienda on a whim. The burrito I had, Tinga meat, was delicious. It was substantially better than the burritos I thought were awesome while at university and fairly priced! The jalapeno poppers were good. I wasn't expecting no breading, but that didn't deduct due to the presence of delicious bacon! I would of liked the poppers to have a bit more spice as they didn't taste spicy like a jalapeno. Overall solid place for Mexican food from what I tried! Reserva una mesa ahora

I drove down from Toronto to visit this restaurant, and it was definitely worth the trip. The interiors are charming and inviting, with a warm atmosphere and a friendly host that adds to the experience. The food was delightful, although the guacamole could use a bit of improvement. Overall, I have no complaints—only admiration for this independent establishment. I highly recommend trying this place instead of settling for the bland offerings at chain restaurants.

"I tried the carne asada, ground beef, and cochinita pibil tacos. The ground beef was decent, and I’ve mentioned my thoughts on the other toppings before. The chimichanga tinga was excellent, and the rice was flavorful as well. The tinga had a delicious taste and was very lightly fried."

I had a wonderful time at Hacienda Santa Teresa, and I look forward to going back soon. I'm going to try some of the less familiar choices on the menu, but I do recommend the margaritas over ice.

Open late even on a Sunday. Large menu, helpful friendly server. Portions are large, come hungry. Great margarita cocktail. Chicaronnes need to be cooked more crispy, Reserva una mesa ahora
