Hakata Ramen is a favorite spot of mine for both sushi and ramen. Their tonkotsu ramen is absolutely delicious, and the raw salmon is always fresh. The tempura is light, crunchy, and not greasy at all. The service is quick and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The restaurant is quite clean, featuring high ceilings that create an open atmosphere. It’s never too loud, and there's plenty of space between tables, which I really appreciate. For vegetarians, they offer a variety of ramen and sushi options. Overall, a great place to dine in!
As for the sushi, I tried some sake salmon sashimi, but found it a bit bland and not as smooth as I had anticipated. The tamago (cooked egg) sushi was okay, but the portion of sushi rice was relatively small, measuring about one inch by half an inch.
Overall, while the sushi might be satisfactory compared to takeout options, it didn't meet my expectations for a restaurant experience. However, I'm open to giving this place another chance.
A few weeks ago, after a long day in Boston, I took the train back to Waltham and decided to stop by this restaurant for dinner. The female server was extremely friendly and welcomed us with a warm smile. She even brought us a large pitcher of ice water, which she was more than happy to refill whenever we ran low. The food was outstanding, and the ramen noodles were particularly delightful.
We stopped by for a late lunch after a day of apple picking, and it was exactly what we needed on a rainy day! We found parking right outside on the street, and we ordered the tan tan ramen, tonkotsu, spicy tonkotsu, and vegetarian ramen. Everyone enjoyed their meals! The service was outstanding, and our food came out quickly. I would definitely come back!

The vegetarian ramen options here are excellent. Every sushi order I've had has been incredibly fresh and attractively presented. The service is very friendly, making this my go-to ramen spot in the neighborhood! For vegetarian options, you can't go wrong with any of the ramen dishes. I dined in, and the price per person was around $20–30.
I would rate this restaurant much higher if I were only considering the taste of the food. However, I was disturbed to hear someone at my table mention that they saw a staff member pour unfinished water from one table back into the pitcher to serve to the next guests. That’s unacceptable. This restaurant has made significant improvements! We've been here a few times, and each visit has pleasantly surprised us. The ramen is quite tasty, and the sushi is surprisingly excellent as well! It's a quick and casual place to grab a meal.
