At first sight Hakataya Ramen is a tiny hole in the wall but the staff and food are great. I've never tried Japanese food before but I'll always try something new. My man regularly eats here and has the spicy version Miso spicy men but I started out on the safe side and had Nagahama Ramen the mild version. It's a very tasty soup full of noodles and tender slices of pork. I tried the spicy version but it's way too spicy for me. A very enjoyable filling meal, one I'll certainly have again. I even gave chopsticks a go with amusing results. Just a tip get there before 12 or after 1 to hopefully miss the rush.
We've eaten at most of the Hakataya stores in Brisbane and the Garden City one is consistently the best. Rich creamy pork broth and fresh plentiful noodles. I'm addicted to the takana and always buy extra! The staff are so friendly and seating is cozy. I used to miss not having egg but the food is seriously so good i wouldn't go anywhere else.
Where the locals eat. Vibrant authentic Japanese restaurant atmosphere, busy, very popular, tasty authentic food served hot. Friendly, very efficient staff, fast service. Order at counter, takeaway available. Compact restaurant with some inside seating which is popular. Chop sticks or spoons available. Cans of Guava softdrink or similar
My kids love this Japanese Ramen Resto. It is a perfect stop after school in a winter arvo. They felt that their energy is just being restored This place satisfies the craving of hot soup and noodle. highly recommended for a bigger appetite because it has a free ramen for everyone. Really very good one.
