Halibut 'n ' Malt Fish Chips

Decided to have fish and chips for lunch with a close friend of mine. After a bit of research we took a chance and went to Halibut 'N ' Malt. First thing I noticed was the nice spacious clean modern appearance. We sat ourselves at a booth , and still admiring the decor. A waitress Courtney came shortly after we were seated . We decided on the special, haddock and chips with coleslaw, I had a beer and my friend had a glass of white wine. Courtney brought it to us quickly , and the fish and chips with coleslaw and a fresh piece of lemon quickly followed. What can I say it was delicious, not greasy . I highly recommend Halibut 'N ' Malt, it was the best fish and chips restaurant I have been to...

So disappointed. I'm a repeat customer, but no more.I was told not to come back when I refused to pay for a rubbery inedible piece of fish. I always enjoyed the fish before. This piece was tiny, mostly batter, and I could only cut through a small piece on one end.The manager? Owner? Explained to me that it was something to do with how they cook the fish. I didn't understand why that was MY problem. Apparently they didn't want to absorb the cost of that one piece of fish and tried to charge me $17+for salad and tea that I had consumed. After I refused to pay it, they dropped the price to $13+. Still too much for salad and tea. Anyway, I paid it. I was told not to come back. NOT A PROBLEM!!!

We placed an order using a delivery app, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. On the downside, the French fries were undercooked, cold, and chewy, the onion rings were burnt, the grilled halibut was dry and cold, and the fish chowder was rancid and inedible. On a positive note, the fried halibut and haddock were enjoyable, with a light, crispy batter. Overall, we were let down by the meal. Reserva una mesa ahora

I used to order all the time, food as good, service was good. But this is what you get for 2 pieces of halibut. One piece way smaller and thinner and everything was breaking apart. They said that they are willing to send half of piece. Thanks for the customer service and ruining my dinner.

Good experience overall. Food was very tasty, server was friendly. We came in with a larger party and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because when we sat down the table was still dirty from the last reservation. Other than that everything was good.

I've been going since they first open and have been back countless times since.The owners are always friendly. Service is quick. The fish is a light batter, not the thick greasy type, so many places serve. Reserva una mesa ahora

We really enjoy the halibut fish and chips here, as they aren't overly greasy like in most fish and chip places. The service is consistently excellent and friendly.

We absolutely loved the restaurant! The food was delicious, served hot, and arrived quickly. The ambiance was surprisingly unique and special.
