Halikarnas Fish Chips

We are regular customers at Hallicanas and the food is always fantastic. However, we have consistently experienced slow service, even when we pre-order. Tonight, we decided not to pre-order and instead stood at the counter to place our order. Unfortunately, we were completely ignored by the three staff members who were chatting together for over 10 minutes. Frustrated, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. Despite the delicious food, the lack of attentive service has ultimately deterred us from returning.

The only issue I have with this takeout restaurant is the fact that nobody ever answers the phone. It's very frustrating because I have been in the shop and witnessed the phone ringing incessantly with no staff member picking up. It's quite ridiculous, to be honest.

Stayed in the area, family of four with children. We ordered some pizza and chips. Big pizza for the price. Three pizzas and a portion of chips did us for tea, midnight snack and lunch! Place was very popular, big queue when we arrived to collect.

My experience at Halikarnas in Castle Douglas was awful. The food arrived very quickly, but my chips and curry were cold, as well as my fish and onion rings. It was disappointing to spend so much money on a meal that was not enjoyable. Reserva una mesa ahora

Ordered online this week, have been ordering fro Hali's for years only to be absolutely disappointed this week. Waited an hour and 45 minutes for delivery for it to be disappointing! Not gonna be going back anytime soon!

Hands down the best piece of fish I've had in my life. Batter was absolutely fkn perfect, little crispy, not greasy, not too thick, not too thin-so so good.

Had a doner whilst on holiday recently. The amount of meat in it was amazing. I actually couldn't finish it. Will be back next time im in the area.

Rude staff, totally ignorant and poor English. Staff not interested in customers. Go somewhere else, anywhere. Awful
