Hall's On The River

Drive on the Hall 's on the river for good food, great service and a magnificent view.. Hall 's has been a favorite of Central Kentucky Diners for more than four decades. The Hall 's is located about 25 minutes from Lexington near Winchester and is legendary for its beer cheese Dip one of the most popular brands in Kentucky. I haven't been in Hall 's for a few years, but decided to check it to see if it's still worth the trip. I am pleased that my experience was not disappointed. Excellent lunch today for three. A perfect hot brown, a fantastic beer cheese burger and an outstanding chicken dish that contains cheeses made with their wonderful beer cheese and sauteed spinach and onions. We started with their traditional, still large roasted banana whips and a beer cheese appetizer. Service was friendly and prompt. Hall's inviting rustic charm is intact, but brightened up by contemporary art. It wasn't there in many years, but I hope to come back soon.

Nice curvy ride to Halls! I wish we had some time to enjoy the area before the darkness. The food was full and pleasant. My family tasted a variety, including delicious frog legs, authentic hit brews, and cancer cake! Beautiful views of nature . I will come back to lunch in the summer so that we can enjoy the deck overlooking the river!

My family and I ate there today. My wife had the Hot Brown and I had the catfish. Kids menu and food was exceptional. Everthing was AWESOME ! We'll be back !

New management has done a good job. Onion rings and catfish are both perfection.
