Halte Marine - Reservar una mesa

Many of the restaurants in Mimizan were closed due to it being the end of the season. The Halte Marine was open and we were warmly welcomed by a friendly and highly efficient waitress, not only did she serve us she also brought some water for our dog. We chose from the 28 euro menu, both having mussels to start and Gambas for main course. Both starters and main course arrived quickly and both looked and tasted fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant and will return again.

Did not realise this restaurant was in Mimizan Plage until we stumbled upon it. Made to feel very welcome by the patron (sometimes not the case for an English group in France, and yes we are fluent in French), a good selection of seafood dishes and wines all of very good to excellent quality. Medium price range we had a blowout meal (4 courses, many bottles of wine) for €60 per head. Thoroughly recommended.

We arrived almost at 3 pm and the place was closing the kitchen but we were welcomed nicely. We had great late lunch. Dishes were served fast and were very tasty. Excellent fried calmars :

It was a busy night. Fish soup and oyster were OK. Sole and John dory were little under cooked. Service was average and seemed to be chaotic. Relatively expensive experience.

The food was not safe. Moules were broken. Fries were under cooked. Service was rude. Don't go there!!!!!!!
