The food was excellent, but the service when picking up my order was lacking. Fortunately, after I got to my car, I had a nagging feeling that something wasn’t right. I checked my bag and discovered that a part of my order was missing. I suggest implementing a process on the takeout side where staff checks the contents of the bag before handing it to the customer. This way, customers can ensure their order is correct before leaving, rather than finding out later that something is missing. The food was delicious, and parking was a breeze. They just need a bit more refinement when it comes to customer service.
We've ordered from this place multiple times, and it's delicious every single time. Some reviews have mentioned that the portions are small, but I disagree. The servings may look small at first, but once you start eating, you'll realize there's actually a lot of food. Our go-to is #51. We love the mac and cheese, greens, and hoppin' johns as our favorite sides, and you can't go wrong with any of the beef options. I haven't tried the other dishes yet, but I would definitely recommend this restaurant for affordable and tasty BBQ.
Delicious! I ordered from one of my favorite local spots and opted for delivery since I no longer drive. The food arrived still warm, which reassured me I had made a great choice. I went with the #46, and it was fantastic—the flavors were amazing! The cornbread was the best I've ever had from there. Everything was packaged perfectly. If you’re in the mood for some mouthwatering, finger-licking ribs, sides, cornbread, and more, definitely order from Hambones on Belmont St in Bellflower. You won’t be disappointed!
The rib tips scored a 6.5/10—slightly dry but with a strong smoky flavor. The BBQ sauces were excellent. The greens were disappointing, a 3/10—very watery and lacking seasoning, making them inedible for me. The candied yams tasted more like fried sweet potatoes; they were tasty but not what I expected, earning a 7/10. The two ribs and fries kids' menu was excellent, especially the thick-cut steak fries, and the $8 price was very reasonable.

The BBQ meats are consistently tender, and the Mac and Cheese is a must-try. However, the greens can be unpredictable in quality. I've had catered meals from this restaurant twice and have also bought prepared meals on several occasions. They are now located in downtown Bellflower, which features a pleasant venue with both dine-in and take-out options. It's conveniently situated next to a free parking lot, a small park, and a comedy club.
Took my mother there because she was craving barbecue and we were pleasantly surprised visiting this place for the first time. It's a little hidden but it's nice clean spot. Great food, servers were very friendly. Service was great food got out quick. Looking forward to trying this place again, so far baby back ribs are on point with a great spicy barbecue sauce.
Hambone's offers great food that’s always fresh! I highly recommend their menu for both dine-in and delivery. The location is convenient, and parking is easy to find.
