Hampton Park Tavern

Came in for a quiet dinner before going to a friends place, they seemed quite busy for the small size of the bistro . we were seated within in a couple of seconds of arriving. My partner and I both ordered steak, before the mains were served we were brought a complimentary cob loaf which was warm and fresh. After that the mains were brought out my steak was a little over cooked but was still good. the veggies had a sauce over them which was a bit to spicy for my liking. The gravy was a bit thin but still good. We ordered desserts, my partner had the chocolate mousse cake and i had a slice of NY cheesecake, serving sizes were huge and the coffee which i ordered had grind in it so i wasnt impr...

Dined for lunch on Sunday, just the three of us.There was a young lady who not only greeted us, but took us to our table (8) went through the menu and gave us in house directions.Later she went to lengths to explain when I queried a menu item.Later she came by to ensure all was ok. This young lady is a gold nugget that the hotel has found. Her attitude, people skills and general demeanor far surpassed what is normally displayed in many pubs.I am in the hospitality business for past 40 years and she could work for me any time and could really show other staff how hospitality staff should operate.Thank you for an enjoyable lunch.

My sister treated us both to a lovely meal on a midweek night. This tavern is not a large open space and is therefore more cozy and homely in its atmosphere. I required a gluten free meal and this was not a problem and enjoyed a lovely and filling meal. Our waitess was a friendly, helpful and attentative Irish lass with most beautiful accent. There is carpet on the floor so the noise level is fairly quiet so conversation is easy. Both of us had a really nice meal, glass of wine and night out. Would definately go again.

We eat at the Hampton Park Tavern quite often. The food is usually good and reasonably priced and our latest visit was no exception. The roast of the day was very good and the porterhouse steak was cooked beautifully. The tiramisu dessert was yummy. The service could have been better, we had to wait a long time for our meal.. Went for a bar meal at Hampton Park Tevern. Ordered lamb shakes. It came out micro waved and they'd left it in the oven for too long. Made the meat over cooked and solid. For a bar meal it was expensive. Better places around.

Like the atmosphere of this place,staff are warm and welcoming.a good selection on the menu,the seniors menu is very good and a great price just show your seniors card.would recommend you try it.

Delicious meals at reasonable prices. Friendly service, polite staff and well presented. Not overcrowded in a relaxed atmosphere. Worth a visit.
