Change of ownership: In April 2021 there are new owners. The current owner and boss, Niko, sold the business. He will concentrate his time and energy in his flagship restaurant, Sushi Plantation, in Mission Viejo. Hanako was definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever eaten. The dishes of Niko were as attractive and creative as they were delicious. Many friends and family sang there. Although we are sad that he leaves the area we all wish him. A very quaint setting which makes the space very inviting. You?re always in the line of sight of your servers as well which gives it a very personal feel. The food and presentation is fantastic. I enjoyed everything I chose on the menu, plus the substitute suggestions of our server. I will certainly be going back whenever I feel an urge for sushi. The price wasn?t bad at all; very affordable and good quality sushi. For an added bonus their ramen is very delicious as well, so don?t be afraid to just stop in for ramen too!
This place is pretty good as a sushi place when the sushi chef is the Japanese. Had someone else do my order last time and it was really bad. The other downside is that the bathrooms sometimes have a bad scent and it’s kind of gross eating there. If the sushi was consistent and the bathroom didn’t smell. This would be a 4 or 5 star restaurant. I think they should focus on sushi only. Instead of 2 business in one (Thai food). This place has potential.
This is a hidden gem located in a shopping mall on Bloomfield Centralia. I was craving some sushi so I got the tempura crunch roll. They have great deals during happy hour! They also have FANTASTIC customer service! All of the staff was so friendly welcoming! They made sure everything tasted great (which it was and checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay. I'm definitely coming back to this spot!! Highly recommend it :

This place is a true gem! We've visited twice, and both experiences have been fantastic. Today, we attended happy hour, and the service was exceptional! I highly recommend the crispy rice with spicy tuna—it's fresh and incredibly tasty! Plus, their $3 beers during happy hour are a great deal. We will definitely be coming back for more!
This is one of my parents' favorite sushi restaurants in our area. The food is really good and fresh. Service is incredible. The server/ workers go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I love how they also offer Thai cuisine. Pad Thai is my favorite! Would definitely go back :
First time visit to Hanako. We're from San Diego, but next time we're in town, we'll be back for more! Service is a touch slow, so relax and be prepared to wait...it's worth it tho. Everything I had was delicious and very good quality. ????
The service was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The quality of the sushi was outstanding—exactly what my friend and I were looking for. I highly recommend this place to everyone! I can't wait to come back!
