Been here a few times... usually breakfast.. n8ce food and coffee.. Wanted an entree asked about the wings 1kg for $15 or 5 coronos and wings $35.. no chicken.. signnon the door see pic.. happy hour .. Ordered wedges as a entree... came out with main mesls... sour cream slanted in bowl no sweet chilli.. i had to ask.. again placed inside half of the sauce in the bowl... Got the beef burger.. was great .. nice broiche bun Ordered chicken Parmigiana and they bring chicken burger.. had to wait for them to redo.. but parmas are good .. monday night parma night apparently but after the fact its supposed to be chicken wing and beers .. not sure Lamb pizza... so much unrendered fat.. more fat than...
We LOVE this place as it is new and local. my family have been regulars since openinng in Aug 2015. Attending on more than 20 occaisions. We have seen great days and not so great days. Big hint, if you walk in and it is busy, walk out. More often than not they are short staffed!Booths are good to sit at, although there are only 4. outdoor area also nice on a warm day. Coffee and Shakes are great. Meals are well prepared and a decent size. Hangar Parma $20.80. is big with a good serve of chips and a decent sized salad. Club sandwich can also be shared between 2 people. All day breakfast and woodfire pizza. Now is liscened also.
I'm writing this review before the food has even arrived (which looks amazing judging by the plates of the group sitting next to me). However the hot chocolate is getting a special mention ! Best one I've ever had & it's all I order in the morning - AMAZING !Service was great - atmosphere is warm & cosy feeling - everything is clean & the place is busy with locals & travellers alike ! They have a $10 lunch menu that caters for every taste & the portion sizes are fantastic value for money (see image of $10 snitzel) What a gem !
A spacious family friendly cafe. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Table water was nice and cold. The coffee and chocolate drinks weren't much hotter but the staff did oblige with replacing them with hot drinks. The food was fantastic - when it eventually got to the table. One of the orders had chips instead of vegetables but we didn't ask for it to be corrected as we had gone there for lunch and may have had to wait until dinner to get it replaced. Recommend the food etc but don't go there if you are in a hurry.

We had a fantastic dining experience at the Hanger Cafe. We ordered the eye fillet steak with mushroom sauce and vegetables, as well as the big daddy Parma. The steak was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were fresh and delicious alongside it. The Parma was surprisingly large and easily shared between two people. We were impressed by the chef's presentation and flavors. We will definitely be coming back! A perfect 10 out of 10.
I have visited Hangar Cafe twice. Once for lunch and a second time for coffee and cake. For lunch I ate a pasta dish that was overpriced and nothing special. The service was a bit confused and poorly executed. When I went for coffee and cake the service was better but the coffee wasn't great, the cake was very nice though. I don't choose to go here as a rule, and am not in a rush to go back.
We went for a late lunch / afternoon tea, so it was pretty quiet. The two female waitstaff were friendly but a little ditzy. I asked for peppermint tea and got green tea! They did have some lovely gluten free options in cakes etc but they were quite expensive. My companion had a toasted sandwich which was very ordinary. I'd go again as it is handy, but certainly nothing great abut it.
I dropped in mid-morning for 2 take-away coffees. 20 minutes after ordering, only one coffee order had been made, 5 people were still waiting ahead of me in line. Table service was in chaos with mix up of orders with seated customers correcting orders and table numbers. I asked for my money back and went elsewhere.

The atmosphere of this place is great! The staff are very polite and the meals are delicious. Good portion sizes, fast service and reasonable prices! They serve the best caesar salad I've ever had. 10/10. I would definitely recommend.
Really amazing coffe ever and friendly staff we love the place really and enjoy many times here I advice any one in Melbourne to come to this cafe and enjoy
