Hank's Bistro - Reserva de mesa

I wouldn't have discovered this Persian restaurant if it hadn't been for OpenTable. Located not far from LAX in Lawndale, it turned out to be a fantastic find for Afghan and other ethnic dishes; I particularly enjoyed the kabobs and various rice dishes. They also offer Italian options. The restaurant has a lunch menu as well. Situated in a bustling shopping center, there's plenty of free parking available. The service was attentive and personal. The restaurant has been recently refurbished and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. I will definitely be bringing my business colleagues back for a great meal.

I really enjoy their kubadah (not sure about the spelling, but it’s their ground beef skewers), rice, and grilled tomatoes. However, I was disappointed to find that they’ve started cutting their tomatoes in half. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he said they do it when the tomatoes are large. I've been dining here for many years, and they've never done that before. I hope they don't continue this trend. That said, their food is still delicious.

The restaurant was very clean and the wait staff was very polite. The menu had many wonderful options both Italian and Persian. The wine list is limited, but good. The food was well prepared and the portions were huge, maybe too big, but worked well the next day at home too.... Nice for a dinner for two or a group for a casual dining experience. I recommend it to anyone for a nice change and to support a local business.

The service was poor, as they were trying to rush us through our dinner just so they could close sooner. The only time we would see the waiter was when he was checking if we wanted the bill.. What's the point of a reservation if we're just gonna be kicked out because the staff wanted to close shop. They even started vacuuming while we were eating. Overall poor service, I rather go Norms or Denny's Reserva una mesa ahora

The wait staff was extremely friendly and the portions were quite substantial. I made it through maybe a third of my (very delicious) pasta. This seemed like a very family-friendly restaurant.

I visited Hank's for the first time, and I was impressed by the fantastic menu and variety of choices. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

Love their Persian food, the roasted tomatoes and saffron rice are awesome. Skewers are fantastic.
