To start with, the score primarily reflects the delightful flavors and tastes, but I wouldn’t categorize this as a great value for money. Vegetables are the stars here, featuring dishes like roasted beets and eggplant. While they are tasty, the portion sizes are a bit small for the price. The larger options, such as the beef brisket, rice, and roasted chicken, help to balance this out. Although they are priced at just over double that of the smaller dishes, they are likely 3 to 4 times more satisfying. Overall, it’s a lovely place to dine.

The XO pho was super tasty, absolutely loved it. The broth has a great depth of flavour without being heavy handed. Enjoyed the rice paper rolls but wish the tuna was either cut thicker OR had more tuna as it does get lost a little. Still yum though and I’d be keen to try some of the other versions. Ordered through door dash for takeaway and everything was packed really well and arrived quickly. Super happy tummy this evening!

I dined with a large group of friends on a weekday, and we opted for a banquet-style menu, which allowed us to sample a wide array of dishes from Balagan. The flavors of the food were fantastic, and everything was fresh and unique. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively, although it got a bit noisy as the restaurant filled up. I will definitely return!

Tasty middle eastern food! Whilst you may have to wait on Saturday night for a table, the food is worth it. As a group we got a variety of entrees to share and they were all delicious. The main, lamb shawarma was however average it was more like pulled beef. Overall a good meal. Reserva una mesa ahora

Such delicious food. We had Viet rice and broth! Both amazing!! The waitress that served us was so so lovely. The customer service was inviting, friendly and on point! We have forgotten her name but she had dark hair, likely Pakistan/ Indian decent! Thank you so much!!

This is undoubtedly the best Middle Eastern food I’ve experienced in Melbourne. The falafel balls are incredibly soft and delicious. The dessert, a bread and butter pudding infused with chocolate and cinnamon, was fantastic. The service is relaxed and very friendly.

Went to Balagan on a Sunday night. The place was busy. Had some suggestions from our waiter Cal. We thought we ordered too much but the food was so delicious we ended up eating most of it. Really tasty. Great staff. Will definitely go back

One of the best falafels I’ve had outside of Israel the pita was a highlight! All the food we ordered was amazing (falafel pitas fattoush salad and waiters were not only charismatic and funny but also very helpful : Reserva una mesa ahora

Great food and service with kind staff. It's a small place to dine in so maybe book ahead. The Vermicelli Salad was huge maybe even enough for 2 people!

Yum, yum, yum! Delicious Vietnamese food in a cool setting. Crowded when we went which reminds me of the bustling vibes of Saigon. Will be back!
