I made reservations 3 days prior to eating lunch. For 2 people at 12:30 on Saturday. We had tickets for the Haunted Tavern theater inside the bldg. for 2pm and thought it would be convenient. We were taken to the bar area and seated at a pub table. I wasn’t expecting to walk past the dining area when I made reservations (wasn’t told or asked about my preference). I’ve never been before and didn’t know with reservations that I needed to state my choice. The bar area was quaint enough, until my wife looked above our heads and commented about the cobwebs. We held a social hour and luncheon for about 35 people at the Tavern this month, the 4th time we have used the venue for this event. The preparations are always spot on, the food is better than good, the staff are consistently friendly and efficient, and the value is excellent. We went to the Haunted Tavern pop up and had a really great time! I wasn't sure what to expect and prepared myself for a lackluster evening. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. We just had an event last week and it was just marvelous! The Hanover Tavern team could not have done a better job if they tried.
