hanshin pocha is the place I wanted to visit because it reminds me of old good days when I and my wife were young. no mistake: hanshin pocha is not what the owner of this franchise allegedly claims to set up, but originally it was a kind of colony of unlicensed temporary street food pubs near hanshin apt. complex in gangnam in seoul during 80's that were torn down around the end of 80's; therefore, called hanshin pocha (snack card). at this time, South Korea was not yet a developed country; and so many people could not afford to have a drink with a proper meal due to the scarce budget. hanshin pocha was aimed at a niche market that offers drinks and meals at affordable prices, especially bec...

I came here with a friend on a Saturday night, since we both had never been here before we ordered what we thought were the must try items. Fried chicken, grilled squid, and fish cake soup. The skin of the fried chicken tasted really good, but the beast part was a little tasteless and dry. The squid was really good, I would highly recommend it. And the fish cake soup tasted really good but you get really thirsty after drinking the soup. I'm guessing there's A Lot of MSG. We tried to have a conversation during our dinner and I ended up screaming my voice out while I tried to talk over their super loud music. Over all a great hangout place to eat and drink beer, just don't try to have a seriou...

Good food and chill atmosphere. Would be a fun place to come after work with friends to eat and drink. The portions are not super huge. My friend and I got the pork belly with cheese and fried rice and it was just enough for the two of us and we don't really eat much. Both plates were pretty shallow but we were happy because it filled us up without making us feel overly full and gross. The flavor of the food was good and the service was super quick. I'd suggest ordering the extra cheese with the pork belly because we ran out quick and wished we had more. They warn that it's super spicy but as someone who likes spice but can't handle it I thought it wasn't bad and more like mild spice.

Nice place for soju and Korean bar food! Located in a super busy plaza, parking was hard to find, be prepared to circle around the parking lot! Food- they have a very extensive menu and we love all the dishes we order. The fried rice was flavored and comes in a stone pot which gives it a crispy texture. Pork with cheese was packed with flavor! I suggest to eat this dish right away.. Because the cheese does get hard if you let it sit out too long Drinks- they have a deal for buckets. I also like they give you different cups for each drinks! Servers are super nice and attentive, can't wait to go back soon to try other foods!
