Blackened shrimp po’boy was sensational. Bread was incredibly fresh, and the remoulade balanced the heat from the blackening seasoning perfectly. Gumbo took on an authentic andouille taste which was ideal for this cooler, rainy day. Truly warmed the spirit. Beans and rice is on point with a few added drops from an array of hot sauces. Service couldn’t have been any better- friendly and helpful- very welcoming. And the brass-heavy, bayou music transports you back to Frenchmen St. You can’t find a more genuine French Quarter experience- a must try.
Came by for lunch today. Ordered two baskets to share. First basket was the fried and blackened Gator tail with potato salad side and the spicy dipping sauce. Absolute awesome! Second basket was the crab cakes with a side of fries. Really excellent crab cakes as they don't use a lot of cracker or bread filling it's more meat. Seasoning was perfect, and not too oily. Excellent quality food! Highly recommended will definitely be back. We live in Largo, so it's close enough for us and could be a regular stop for us.
The employees are nice and respectful.A friend of mine recommended this restaurant she know i love gator meat so i stopped in got some gator bites hush puppies and french fries.The gator bites were so good seasoned just right the food was hot and fresh.I gave my husband a few of mine he tore them up and was shocked when i told him what he was really eating lol he thought it was chicken now that he knows he wants to stop by one weekend when we're in the area again
It's always interesting to try home food in different places. I think they do a decent job at marrying the two. They're definitely not getting leidenheimer's delivered every morning, no fault to them. Red beans and rice have no meat... Odd that they're not denoted as vegan. Not encountered that style before. Chicken gumbo is decent. Ordered twice, would recommend for a try, especially if you're looking for tones of home... except for the red beans.

Amazing ambiance and equally amazing food and service! Everything was cooked to perfection! Hush puppies were crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, catfish was golden brown and crispy and moist and juicy on the inside! Shrimp was season to perfection as well! Great spot and a must visit if you’re a local and/or visiting! Another solid spot we will continue to frequent!!
Love the vibe, great friendly service, excellent menu choices. Feels like I'm in NaLins. Loved the crawfish pie and gumbo. Terrific muffaletta as well.
