The hostess at Harbor Mist was wonderful. We made our reservation on Open Table and asked for a 2nd floor window view and got a text message that they were full and could not guarantee the window. We received a confirmation call morning of and were told the same thing. Once we checked in the hostess said I've got you and gave us a wonderful seat. We had a very nice waiter, but was definitely over worked and did not pay enough attention to make it an enjoyable night. He did apologize about the kitchen being backed up and we had a leisurely 2.5 hour meal. Not our choice. Did not see any tables turning over either. I guess big staffing issues. We were in the area and looking for a spot by the water and found this. The restaurant is in a great quiet spot. They give you complimentary bread and humus dip which was good. We ordered the short rib, chicken francese which comes with tagliattle pasta and a Cesar salad. The salad was good. The short had good taste, braised well but could have used a little more moistness in the middle.. The mashed potatoes was really good. The chicken francese didn't have a egg and flour batter like I'm used to. It was more marsala style with the same but light lemony francese taste. The pasta was really good. Was here with a large group Meatballs were tender, toothsome, well cooked, seasoned nicely with a little kick. Would order again for sure. Chicken parm did not seem pounded but was perfectly tender and a more than adequate portion. The crust was strongly adherent and crisp. Seasoning was very nice. Pork Chop was cooked perfectly and had a nice crusted piece of cheese atop it and on this crust rested a medley of hot peppers and garlic. A stupendous dish. Food is definitely a 5 I can't take any demerits from there. Lose a star because of no changing table in the men's room. I don't think that's fair. If I wanted to change my son I couldn't do it. Besides that the food was excellent. Crab cake was delicious and the mango accent was brilliant. Main I had the veal chop parm special and it was out of this world. Quite possibly one of the best veal chops I've had in my life. Dessert I had the espresso creme brûlée absolutely legendary. Definitely want to come back. The HARBOR mist was fabulous. I stumbled across this restaurant after visiting the Vanderbilt Museum on my birthday. The place is a gem. The ambiance was beautiful you can choose to sit inside or outside the restaurant. As we sat down we were greeted by a server by the name of Alfredo. He was just amazing. He was super nice and took his time to explain all the specials on the menu. The food was so good and fresh everything was wonderful. Thank you for all your help Alfredo your customer service was excellent. I definitely will come back again.

I sat outside and enjoyed my meal with a view across from the water. I had just finished a long hike and was excited for some replenishment. This place did not disappoint. I had their pumpkin ravioli special to start and then had a bowl of mussel marinara. The waitress was friendly and kind, along with the other staff that bussed for her.
